General Dental Care
General dental care is an important step in achieving overall general health. Our teeth play an essential role in the Digestive System.Research shows that inadequate oral health is likely to result in many other conditions, such as Heart Disease. Achieving clean, healthy teeth and gums is fundamental in attaining overall health and well-being.

Oral hygiene and routine dental check-ups are essential for good dental and overall health.
Regular check-ups result in early diagnosis of dental issues that will cause problems in the future. This will save time and money in the future.
We cover and treat all aspects of dentistry. This includes Simple Fillings, Extractions, Routine Cleaning, Ceramic Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Porcelain Veneers, Cosmetic Dentistry, Periodontal Treatment, Dental Implants and General Preventative Care.
We carefully plan treatments, using the most up to date knowledge, materials and methods and time is taken to explain the benefits of, and possible future issues arising from, each particular treatment option. From this, you are more able to make an informed decision as to the treatment that is best suited for your particular circumstance. We will also advise you about simple and effective preventative treatments that are available. These preventative treatments are individually tailored for you, and can be re-assessed as your circumstances changes over time.
Family Dental Care
At Mullumbimby Dental Centre we enjoy treating the whole family. We believe in trying to see children early, initially at around 3 years of age. This would involve coming along with Mum or Dad, to watch their visit and play in the surgery and maybe go for a ride in the chair. We also like to inform Mum and Dad about appropriate fluoride use and preventative measures at an early age.
Our main goal with children is to have fun, desensitise them to the dentist and encourage and teach them how to best look after their own teeth. To try and encourage children to have fun at the dentist. One of the partners at Mullumbimby Dental Centre, Dr Claire Parsons, has carried out talks in local schools and kindergartens, so that the children can meet and play with a dentist outside the dental surgery which can be an intimidating environment for young children. Claire has an excellent chairside manner and younger children find her very approachable.
